Trying to describe my relationship with the city, I investigate connections between personal and public space. I have defined my ‘territory’ in London by linking places through my daily commute. I covered the floor of my flat with paper, tracing private movements and activity. Then, folded the unified floor surface to a package and posted it to myself at my destination, where it has been placed to open space connecting starting and end point of my journey. Becoming an animal, I have marked my ‘territory’ in the city with my personal smell, by depositing my urine in the open throughout my travel. An action that allows me to extend my individual space to the city and personalise urban environment, adding human dimension while claiming parts of London for myself.
